The
"Everything You’ve Ever Wanted To Know About Treating Acne…And More! is not
a report that sets out to be the definitive statement about acne treatments,
nor is it a book written by a medical expert.
I’m just someone who suffered from mild acne when I was younger and who has
also watched her children battle with much more severe acne and wanted to
help out.
I’ve spent hours and hours with my kids researching acne and the pros and
cons of various “cures”, then weeks and months while they tried the cures
out. I realised that there must be millions of people who are wasting time
doing the exact same thing, instead of getting on and getting rid of their
damn acne!
Thinking about all the misery my kids have had to endure made me decide to
sit down one day and start recording all we’ve discovered over the course of
the last year or so.
The report you're going to read is the result!

How
To Use The Report
Although it’s less than 40 pages, this is still a long report for an
electronic document, with lots of information about lots of different acne
treatments, so you might find it helpful to use the contents page at the
beginning of the report, otherwise you’re sure to miss sections.
You might want to home in on a treatment you’ve heard about, or are
particularly interested in. In each case, I’ve tried to provide a summary of
what the treatment is, how it works, the pros and cons, approximate costs
and a chart which illustrates how it rates for effectiveness, prevention,
side effects and usability. These charts are complied from the views of
hundreds of users who’ve reported their results online…as well as my kids of
course!
No-one wants a one-sided presentation on a subject. There’s plenty of
opportunity here to get a balance of views. I’ve provided links to all sorts
of sources where you can get more information about the treatments listed
here. Some of them will be in-depth, others are personal accounts, and
others are journalistic reports, sometimes in the form of video clips.
I’ve also provided links to merchants selling the products mentioned online.
I’ve tried where possible to provide a range of suppliers providing products
to fit all budgets, so that you have as wide a choice as possible when it
comes to buying. I’m particularly fond of
SkinCare.com, not only because it
has a vast range of products designed specifically for acne, great customer
service, a refund policy and a low price guarantee, but also because it has
a system which allows you to view product ratings and reviews by customers,
which is a real help when it comes to deciding which product to invest in.
As you
know, this report is provided completely free, and I’m not asking for
donations to support its upkeep at the hosting company. However, there are
costs associated with keeping the report available online, and these are
likely to increase once I introduce a directly-accessible user rating and
review system (which I very much hope you’ll add entries to when you’ve
tried a treatment).
For that reason, I hope that you’ll consider purchasing from the asterisked
links which appear on some products. These are the links where the merchant
is prepared to pay me a small commission for sending a customer to his or
her store. In many cases, these stores also happen to be the cheapest or
provide the best value for money, so everybody wins!
Don’t be afraid to pass this report on to friends who also be having
problems with acne. My aim was to make it freely available, so feel free to
mail it to them or tell them where they can download it:

The Therapies
Unfortunately, there is no one acne treatment that is going to sort out the
problems of every acne sufferer in the world. As you’ll discover by the time
you finish reading this report, some treatments work for some people, and
are completely useless for others. What makes things even worse is that
no-one can predict what will work for you ahead of beginning treatment, so
it may be trial and error trying to get to that dreamed-of blemish-free
skin.
Don’t
despair though – there is a treatment out there for you – it’s just a matter
of doing the research and finding it. These days, there are just so many
options to choose from.
While modern medicine has made enormous strides in the treatment of acne,
don’t be fooled into thinking prescribed drugs are the only, best or
quickest route to acne-free skin. Not everyone experiences them as providing
the results they’d hoped for and many others find that any benefits gained
are quickly outweighed by the negative side effects that come with using the
medication.
Whatever method you try, be prepared to give it at least 6-8 weeks before
dismissing it as useless. I know 6-8 weeks feels like a long time when you
have a face full of eruptions, but your body needs time to adjust to the
treatment – and that’s true whether you’re using a full-on treatment like
Accutane or a medicated topical preparation.
I really hope that this report can play a small part in helping you resolve
a big problem – I’ve watched my kids’ lives be transformed by the clearing
up of their acne. It’s been a long slog, but it’s been worth every moment.
Hang in there!
